Purav is a cinematographer and photographer based in Mumbai, with a deep love for images and stories. For him, the lens is more than just a tool, but a way of feeling, observing, and telling stories that stay.
He began with photography and videography, spending five years working on corporate films and events. Over time, his love for storytelling grew deeper, and so did his interest in narrative and cinematography. That shift led him to start assisting Directors of Photography, learning closely on set and understanding the craft from the inside. Since then, he has worked across commercials and documentaries, slowly shaping his own way of seeing.
His journey changed at Prague Film School, where he found his voice as a filmmaker. The quiet beauty of Prague and the discipline of cinema shaped the way he sees the world.
In a world that often moves too fast, he finds beauty in the quiet. He specializes in creating slow, simple, and emotional films that allow the narrative to breathe. His work is characterised by a minimalist approach, focusing on the raw human elements.
When he is not behind the camera, he is probably writing poems, cooking something good, or having a solid burger with a chilled Red Bull.
